Public & Private Networks

Overview:

This tutorial walks you through setting networks as public when you don't want the PC to be discoverable on the network, or private when you want to share files or hardware.

Proceedure:

Step 1. Click on the network icon in the taskbar.

Step 2. Click the arrow to expand to see all network connections, then right click on the connection you want to change and select "Properties".

Step 3. Select the network profile you want (Public or Private).

Step 4. Close the windows.
